I loved this book so much. Jane, the main character, is active in AlAnon, which I did not realize prior to starting it. I have this problem where I don’t really read summaries. Recovery is a huge part of my family, so this book felt very personal to me. If anyone in your life has ever been touched by addiction, and you’re incredibly sensitive about how that is portrayed in books, this one is gritty and incredibly true to life, although not from the addict’s perspective. It’s also a beautiful love story. The problems in the budding relationship between Caleb and Jane are very real and relatable. It’s sweeping and moving and awesome. I cannot praise it highly enough.
